West Clinton fifth grade American History program

West Clinton Elementary fifth graders hosted an annual American History Fair, highlighting the people and events that helped shape the nation.

Students performed several historical and patriotic songs for families and staff, including one piece presented in American Sign Language. The performance set a thoughtful tone for the event.

Parents were then invited to tour student displays set up in the gym and classrooms. Each student created a poster board focused on a famous American or topic in U.S. history—ranging from politicians and pioneers to athletes, musicians, movie stars and state facts. Students stood by their projects and presented their research.

The event served as a culminating activity for the fifth grade’s study of American history.
