Drivers Ed

Incoming sophomores have the option to take Drivers Ed through FHS the summer before school starts for students with birthdays before September 1st. 

More information will be provided at Phoenix Preview on February 10th.

Course Requests

Incoming Sophomores will complete their Course Requests on myDSD in February and March. Click the icon on the left for more detailed information.

IMPORTANT DATES

January 31: Parents and Students will receive an email with registration timeline and instructions.

Feb 3: Course Requests will open on myDSD.

Feb 10: Phoenix Preview @FHS

Feb 20&21: Centennial Jr. High Visits - Students should have Course Requests mostly completed an come prepared with questions.

Feb 24, 25, 27, 28: Farmington Jr. High Visits - Students should have Course Requests mostly completed and come prepared with questions.

Mar 7: MyDSD Course Requests will be closed. 

Team Conditioning

Per district policy, we are not able to place a 9th grader in a Team Conditioning class until they have held tryouts and officially made the team. For teams without tryouts, we cannot enroll 9th grade students until sport officially starts per the UHSAA dates.

Students enrolled in Team Conditioning are required to stay enrolled for the remaining duration of the semester and will need to attend class workouts after their season has ended.

Honor Cords

Students can earn honor cords to wear at graduation by meeting specific requirements.

Scholarships

All of our Scholarship information is updated regularly by our Scholarship Advisor. Students who are interested in scholarships should check our webpage frequently and plan to attend our weekly Scholarship Presentations during MAPS in the spring.

Most students qualify for scholarships in the areas of:

  • Academic Excellence

  • Leadership and Involvement

  • Athletics, Dance, or Music

  • Demonstrated Financial Need

CTE Pathways

Students are able to earn a medallion to wear at graduation for completing 3 credits within a chosen pathway. At FHS we want our students to be College & Career Ready!

NCAA

Many of our students have plans to play their sport in college. NCAA college athletes must be academically eligible in order to be recruited.
